Rectangular driving lights went out of fashion and came back – the Eclipse 5x7 has the retro shape with entirely modern output behind it.

The clever part is the split: 75W of driving light throws a beam over 1.3 kilometres down the track, while 24W of side-facing LEDs spread 140 degrees across the verges. You get distance and peripheral vision from a single light rather than choosing between them, which matters on twisting wadi tracks where the next turn arrives before the straight-ahead beam is any use.

Fifteen 5W plus eight 3W Osram LEDs produce 7,540 raw lumens at 6000K. The housing is heavy duty die-cast alloy with a stainless steel mounting bracket – the right choice near salt air. Sold individually.
