The factory fitted hubs on your Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ/HZJ100 were built to a cost — the AVM462 is built to last. AVM Free Wheeling Hubs are a premium Brazilian-made replacement for OEM hubs on FZJ and HZJ100 series Land Cruisers from 1998 onwards, delivering tougher materials, more reliable clutch engagement, and significantly better long-term durability than the parts they replace.
Free wheeling hubs serve a critical function on part-time 4WD vehicles: connecting and disconnecting the front axle assembly from the drivetrain. When disengaged in 2WD mode, the front differential, axle shafts, and associated components stop rotating — reducing unnecessary wear, extending drivetrain life, and improving fuel economy on sealed roads. On earlier Land Cruiser models fitted with fixed hubs, AVM462 hubs can also be retrofitted to deliver this same benefit.
The AVM462 features a heat-treated steel clutch ring for faultless torque transfer and is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials — essential for UAE vehicles exposed to salt air, sand ingress, and extreme heat cycling. Engage and disengage springs operate independently for positive, reliable clutch ring positioning in all conditions. Sold as a pair — fits both left and right front hubs.
